Q. What is Untapped Arizona?
Untapped Arizona is a statewide organization that provides resources and services to assist businesses in driving performance through disability inclusion in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace. In fall 2017, we will become the Arizona affiliate of the US Business Leadership Network (USBLN), a national organization committed to disability inclusion and representing more than 5,000 businesses nationwide. Q. How were the Untapped Arizona resources produced?
The Untapped Arizona team that developed these resources consists of representatives from leading Arizona employers and individuals with expertise in disability employment. Additionally, the best practices presented here were developed based on insights from several national disability employment organizations, including Think Beyond the Label, the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN), the Job Accommodation Network (JAN), and the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).
Q. How can I learn about the experiences of other organizations regarding inclusion, as well as share my own experiences?
Visit our Employer Success Stories page to see what other Arizona businesses are doing. You can also post your experiences and interact with Untapped Arizona and other employers on any of the Untapped Arizona social media pages including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We are in the process of constructing our website’s Community section, where subscribing UAZ members will be able to exchange experiences and innovative strategies through discussion boards and other interactive media.
Q. Can Untapped Arizona help me find qualified employees with disabilities?
Visit our partner, ARIZONA@WORK, the statewide workforce development network. The services provided by ARIZONA@WORK are free to employers and include candidate matching and pre-screening, skills assessment, and sponsored hiring events, as well as job posting on AZ Job Connection – the largest free job-posting website in the state.
Q. Can Untapped Arizona provide me with one-on-one consultation or guidance?
Untapped Arizona provides general information and guidance to support employers in identifying and connecting with qualified job candidates with disabilities. Q. Can Untapped Arizona provide me with legal or other professional services?
Untapped Arizona does not provide legal assistance or services. We are in the process of constructing the website’s Marketplace section, where you will be able to find a variety of services and products to support your disability inclusion practices.
Q. I’m a service provider – can Untapped Arizona assist me?
Untapped Arizona partners with a number of workforce-related networks, initiatives, and coalitions to support increased employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. These partners include Arizona Employment First, a grassroots coalition of service providers, advocates, and other stakeholders, and ARIZONA@WORK, the statewide workforce development network. Also, we are in the process of constructing our website’s Marketplace section, and service providers will be welcome to participate in order to make their services known to employers.

Untapped Arizona works with ARIZONA@WORK, the statewide workforce development network, to help you connect with employers who want a diverse and inclusive workforce that includes individuals with disabilities.
